Dr. Alexeev received a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the State Polytechnic University in Saint Petersburg (Russia). He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion (Israel). In 2003, he joined the group of Prof. Stephan at the Darmstadt Technical University (Germany), where he studied thermocapillary flows in thin liquid films. In 2005-2007, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the group of Prof. Balazs at the University of Pittsburgh, where he studied interactions between microscopic compliant particles and patterned polymeric substrates. In 2008, Dr. Alexeev began at Georgia Tech as an Assistant Professor.
